MCCS Operations will need the following information when you contact them for return and reunion support:
1. Number of Marines and Sailors Returning -
Do not factor in the estimated number of family members, MCCS provides enough supplies at a rate of 1 to 2, so if you have 100 people returning, they will give you enough supplies to support 200 people.
2. Date of the return
3. MCCS needs a minimum of 1 week notice prior to the return. MCCS monitors flight information and estimated numbers returning so they can have enough supplies on hand to support all returns.
Commands are responsible for requesting return and reunion support from MCCS. MCCS Marketing will work with the unit FRO or KVA/C.
The Camp Pendleton team working closely with 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Family Readiness Officer, will provide homecoming support to Units returning from OIF, OEF and UDP’s which is coordinated through MCCS Operations.Call Ski at (760) 468-7793.
Decorations: Flags, Streamers, Colored table cloths, Crayons and butcher paper for the children
Banners: 1 banner for each unit need to order early to ensure MCCS has enough time to make the banner
Helium and Balloons: MCCS will provide the command a letter to pickup the Helium Tank at Airgas, located at 311 Airport Road in Oceanside. MCCS Marketing will provide the valve and nozzle for the tank. Ribbon will be provided for the balloons.
Astro Jumps: MCCS will provide the command with a letter to give to Recreation Check-out. The command is responsible for reserving, picking up and dropping off the astro jump to Recreation Check-out
Snacks and Drinks: Food and Hospitality will provide cookies and refreshments for returning Marines.
